Skiing can or has sometimes be tarnished with the brush that it is exclusively for the rich and famous, and whilst this is far from the truth and we should work even harder to make sure this perceived image is changed, in some cases the worlds most recognisable names and faces do like to escape to the mountains from time to time…
Here are some of the top celebrities who are known to dabble in a spot of skiing/snowboarding when time allows them:
Kim Kardashian & Kanye West
Yes perhaps somewhat unsurprisingly, probably the most famous couple on the planet do like to hit the slopes. Kim and Kanye have been pictured on their skis in Deer Valley at Park City, Utah, along with their daughter North West who is getting the turns in early.
Other members of this famous family are also partial to a weekend trip to the mountains, by private jet of course rather than on a crammed Ryanair flight to Geneva. Kim with sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner have been known to trade in the warmer climate of Los Angeles for the crisp mountain air of Salt Lake City.
Justin Bieber
Again, one of the most universally known names and another who has a soft spot for snow sports. He actually decided to spend his 22nd birthday celebrations at Big Bear Mountain in Southern California to be able to jump on his snowboard. Not a bad shout Justin, but maybe next time give us a shout and we can have you looking the part for your big day.
The Beckham's
David Beckham's name carries significant weight across the globe, from his footballing days at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy and others - he was one of the very first celebrity footballers and his Spice Girl wife Victoria Beckham, certainly helped with this.
The family were recently spotted treating themselves to a luxury winter break in the French resort of Saint Gervais. As you can imagine they looked the part, and if you were wondering David snowboards and Victoria skis!
Lewis Hamilton
The now seven-time Formula 1 World Champion is unsurprisingly a bit of an adventure junkie. The British racing driver loves jumping on his snowboard when time away from the track allows, and he's a powder hound at that.
With money no barrier in Lewis' case, he loves to hit the un-touched backcountry in Vail and as you'd expect he's pretty good!
Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom
Aspen, Colorado is a hot spot for a celebrity skiing getaway. A familiar spot for the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Mariah Carey to name a couple, it was also the destination of choice for the famous popstar and actor couple.
They were actually spotted getting into the après-ski spirit, and rocking some fancy dress after a long day on the slopes!
Diplo
This music mastermind isn’t just good on the decks, he was recently seen hitting the slopes in Colorado. He was sporting a grey snowsuit, which we have many you can try out if you’re searching for a similar look!
Double Date With Nina Dobrev
Nina Dobrev, Shaun White, Ines de Ramon and costar Paul Wesley, were recently seen double dating at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming. We’re sure Olympic snowboarder, Shaun White, showcased all his best tricks and shared some of his top tips on the slopes.
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner
Both the Jonas Brothers band member and Game of Thrones star were seen enjoying their trip on the slopes in Verbier, Switzerland. They were both seen in two very stylish skisuits, which you can check out similar here:
