Andy loves powder and competes professionally for Paralympic’s GB and AFPST (Armed Forces Para Snowsport Team).
He joined the Army in 2003 and served with the 1st and 2nd Battalions the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. In September 2006 Andy lost his leg whilst rescuing colleagues in a soviet minefield. The courage and bravery of his actions that day have earned him a George Medal – the second highest bravery award issued by the British Army.
He is a British Championships Bronze medalist for slalom and giant slalom, and also has a BAFTA winning film documenting his incident called Kajaki, also known around the world as Kilo Two Bravo.
Currently competing in competitions around the world, Andy is hoping to represent Britain as part of the Para Snowsports team and compete at the 2018 Paralympic Games in South Korea.
